Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.66- $21.67 Work Locations: Varies Work Hours/Days: Vary - All Shifts Position responsible for the safety and well-being of patrons while they are at the pool, educating patrons on rules and regulations, enforcing rules, communicating instructions, and providing surveillance. Incumbent facilitates swim lessons, maintains deck and facility cleanliness and safety, prevents injuries, participates in periodic in-service training, conducts opening/closing procedures for the pool, tests chemical balances, and renders first aid as needed.

Requires the ability to read, write and follow directions.

Must be at least 16 years of age.

Must possess and maintain valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate or certification by another nationally recognized agency which is valid at all pool facilities.

Able to serve as a mentor or “buddy” to less-experienced staff and lead by example in your daily work.

Good communication skills, verbal and written.

A ble and comfortable to work at both indoor and outdoor pools.
