Role Overview
Senior business development role in the freight-forwarding industry based in Abu Dhabi.
The role focuses on increasing revenue and cargo volumes while achieving sales targets.
Freight-forwarding experience in Abu Dhabi is mandatory.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Generate higher revenues and cargo volumes through business development and sales activity.
- Achieve sales targets.
- Interact with clients and develop freight-forwarding opportunities.
- Lead the team and demonstrate leadership qualities.
- Work across breakbulk, project cargo, containerized cargo, liner, tramp, and air-cargo services.
- Work flexible hours and travel as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of shipping and logistics, freight forwarding, breakbulk, project cargoes, and containerized cargoes.
- Freight-forwarding experience in Abu Dhabi and prior Abu Dhabi working experience.
- Knowledge of liner and tramp service providers.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods processes and policies for air cargo.
- Decision-making capacity and problem-solving ability.
- Fluent communication and client interaction skills.
