Job Description
The role is a Senior Analyst I position in software engineering focused on Java API and application development.
Core Engineering Work
- Develop REST APIs using Spring MVC and Spring Boot in Java.
- Implement high-performance, reusable application development.
- Apply design patterns and principles including SOLID, Singleton, and dependency injection.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
- The role requires 2–5 years of programming experience with Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring, microservices, Swagger, JUnit, Mockito, Hibernate, or MyBatis.
Development Technologies
- Required technologies include Java 1.8, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, REST, HATEOAS, and microservices.
- The role uses Swagger, JUnit, Mockito, Hibernate/MyBatis, and may involve Apache Shiro or Apache Camel.
- Experience with at least one of Maven, Ant, or Gradle is required.
Tools and Practices
- Hands-on experience with an IDE such as Eclipse or Visual Studio is required.
- Experience with Git and Agile development practices is required.
- DB2 experience is listed in the desirable skill set.
Professional Capabilities
- Excellent debugging and coding skills are desirable.
- Candidates should demonstrate effective communication, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work in a global team environment.
Cloud Experience
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS is an added advantage.
