About the Role

Workplace

• The position is full-time and on-site in the United Arab Emirates.

Architecture Leadership and Governance

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture, target architecture, roadmap, principles, standards, patterns, and design guardrails.
• Lead architects, domain architects, technical leads, and architecture resources across the program.
• Establish architecture governance and design authority processes, chair reviews, approve designs, and maintain technical documentation.
• Resolve cross-domain conflicts and manage architectural risks, technical debt, constraints, dependencies, and deviations.

Solution Integration and Technology

• Ensure alignment across applications, integration, data, cloud, infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and operational architecture.
• Govern APIs, middleware, messaging, microservices, event-driven architectures, data exchange, and external interfaces.
• Provide oversight for cloud, hybrid infrastructure, compute, storage, network, platforms, availability, resilience, capacity, performance, and disaster recovery.
• Embed security requirements covering identity, access management, data protection, encryption, monitoring, and secure integration.

Vendors and Stakeholders

• Review and challenge vendor solution designs and technical proposals for alignment with the target architecture.
• Identify and resolve cross-vendor gaps, overlaps, dependencies, integration risks, and design conflicts.
• Act as the senior architecture authority and trusted technical advisor to program leaders, business stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and partners.
• Present architecture strategies, decisions, risks, and recommendations and facilitate complex technical decisions.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 15+ years of technology experience with substantial solution, enterprise, or technical architecture leadership experience.
• Experience as a Lead Solution Architect, Chief Architect, Solution Architecture Lead, or equivalent on large-scale transformation programs.
• Experience owning end-to-end architecture across multiple technology domains.
• Strong understanding of applications, integration, APIs, data, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and operational technologies.
• Experience leading architects, technical leads, and cross-functional technology teams.
• Experience in complex multi-vendor and systems integration environments.
• Experience operating architecture governance and design authority processes.
• Understanding of scalability, performance, availability, resilience, security, and disaster recovery requirements.
• Experience reviewing and governing vendor and third-party solution designs.

Preferred Experience

• UAE or wider GCC technology transformation experience is preferred.
• Experience with systems integration, digital transformation, cloud, infrastructure, applications, data, cybersecurity, or modernization programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud and hybrid architectures is preferred.
• Knowledge of API management, middleware, microservices, and event-driven architectures is preferred.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent architecture frameworks is preferred.
• Relevant architecture, cloud, cybersecurity, or technology certifications are advantageous.
