Role Overview

Solution Architecture and Governance

• Own end-to-end solution architecture across the program and define high-level and detailed solution architectures.
• Define architecture principles, patterns, standards, and technology guidelines and evaluate appropriate platforms and products.
• Establish architecture governance, lead design reviews, assess compliance, identify risks and technical debt, and maintain technical decision records.

Integration, Cloud, and Infrastructure

• Define integration architecture across applications, platforms, data sources, cloud services, and external systems.
• Use appropriate API, middleware, messaging, event-driven, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Provide guidance on cloud, hybrid, compute, storage, network, platform, capacity, performance, continuity, and disaster recovery requirements.

Security and Technical Leadership

• Embed identity, access management, data protection, encryption, network security, monitoring, resilience, and other security controls in solution designs.
• Act as a senior technical advisor and facilitate architecture workshops and technical design sessions.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts and provide direction to designers, engineers, developers, delivery teams, vendors, and partners.

Vendor and Technology Evaluation

• Evaluate vendor proposals, solution designs, products, platforms, and technology options against the target architecture and program requirements.
• Identify integration gaps, duplication, technical risks, and architectural dependencies and support technology selection activities.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of technology experience, including significant Solution Architecture or Enterprise Architecture experience.
• Experience designing end-to-end solutions for large-scale, complex transformation programs.
• Strong knowledge of applications, integration, APIs, data, cloud, infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and non-functional architecture requirements.
• Experience in multi-vendor and systems integration environments and producing architecture documentation and technical decision records.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and business-to-technology translation capabilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting major technology transformation programs in the UAE or wider GCC region.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures, Azure, AWS, API management, middleware, microservices, event-driven architecture, or enterprise integration patterns.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent frameworks; relevant cloud, architecture, security, or technology certifications are advantageous.
