About the Role
AECOM is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee quantity surveying functions for large-scale construction projects in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves cost management, contract administration, financial oversight, and leading a team of quantity surveyors.

Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for complex construction projects valued at AED 50M and above
- Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis using advanced QS software and tools
- Administer contracts, including variations, claims management, and procurement oversight
- Analyze project performance against budgeted costs and provide regular financial reporting
- Lead and mentor a team of quantity surveyors
- Perform risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to project costs and contractual obligations
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and optimize procurement processes
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian construction standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to provide cost effective solutions
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including cost reports, valuations, and financial statements
- Review and analyze tender documents, specifications, and drawings
- Monitor project cash flow and provide forecasting analysis
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of professional quantity surveying experience in large scale construction projects
- Advanced expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes
- Proficiency with quantity surveying software (Bluebeam, Touchplan, Primavera, or similar)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience managing projects in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local building standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency with quantity surveying software (Bluebeam, Touchplan, Primavera, or similar platforms).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong data analysis and modeling capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in the Middle East, particularly Saudi Arabia.
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian construction regulations and local building standards.
- Expertise in risk assessment, cost control, and value engineering.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with proven mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
