Responsibilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Perform variance analysis against plan, forecast, and prior periods
- Develop financial models to assess business performance and emerging trends
- Prepare executive level commentary, presentations, and management reporting packages
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management
- Support quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and strategic initiatives
- Maintain and enhance forecasting models and planning tools
- Assist with workforce planning, expense management, and budget monitoring
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand drivers impacting financial results
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, controls, and data quality
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting, or Management Accounting
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience preparing management reporting and executive presentations
- CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred
- Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, Power BI, Power Query, or similar financial systems preferred
- Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning processes preferred
- Knowledge of banking or financial services industry preferred

Job Summary
- The Intermediate/Specialized Financial Analyst provides financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and decision support for senior leaders within the Finance organization
- Responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial insights, supporting planning and forecasting cycles, identifying risks and opportunities, ad hoc reporting deliverables, and driving continuous process improvements through data analytics and automation
Key Accountabilities
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes
- Perform variance analysis against plan, forecast, and prior periods
- Develop financial models to assess business performance and emerging trends
- Prepare executive level commentary, presentations, and management reporting packages
- Identify financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management
- Support quarterly forecasts, annual planning, and strategic initiatives
- Maintain and enhance forecasting models and planning tools
- Assist with workforce planning, expense management, and budget monitoring
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand drivers impacting financial results
- Support ad hoc analysis and executive requests
- Participate in special projects and enterprise initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, controls, and data quality
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- 2–5 years of progressive experience in Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting, or Management Accounting
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and financial modeling skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience preparing management reporting and executive presentations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- CPA designation or CPA candidate preferred

Work Arrangement
- Hybrid: expected to be onsite 4 days a week
Pay Details
- Base salary range: CAD 69,700 CAD 98,400 per year
- Eligible for discretionary variable compensation
