Overview
- This is an outpatient‑based (OPD) rheumatology role based at our HealthHub Clinic in Al Karama, Dubai.
- The position is well suited to a Specialist Rheumatologist with strong outpatient experience who is comfortable managing chronic disease pathways, long‑term follow‑up, and high patient volumes in a community clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist rheumatology care in line with best‑practice clinical guidelines and Al‑Futtaim Health Medical Staff Bylaws
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a broad range of rheumatological and musculoskeletal conditions, including inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, osteoporosis, and chronic pain conditions
- Conduct detailed outpatient consultations and manage long‑term treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor pharmacological therapies, including DMARDs and biologics, in line with clinical protocols
- Perform joint examinations and outpatient procedures where applicable (e.g. joint injections)
- Order and interpret relevant laboratory tests and imaging investigations
- Counsel patients on diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, and lifestyle modification
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical records
- Collaborate with physiotherapy, orthopaedics, primary care physicians, and other specialists to optimise patient outcomes
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and departmental development activities
- Engage in continuing medical education and remain current with advances in rheumatology practice
