About the Role
ADNOC Group seeks a Specialist in Projects Planning for its Projects Control Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves project planning, scheduling, and monitoring for major capital projects in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities
- Provide input for preparation of the budgets for Capital Projects and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans
- Prepare summary schedules for all new projects based on alternative execution strategies
- Develop project specific Planning, Progress Measurement, Progress Reporting and other project control requirements and incorporate them into Tenders/Agreements
- Evaluate technical bids from Consultants/Contractors for compliance and prepare Technical Evaluation Reports
- Review and analyze submittals from Pre FEED, FEED, PMC and EPC Contractors/Consultants relating to Planning, Scheduling, Progress Measurement, Reporting, Schedule Risk Analysis, Productivity
- Verify and endorse monthly physical progress claimed by Consultants/Contractors for payment purposes
- Monitor reported progress and schedule status, identify areas of concern and advise Sr. Project Managers on corrective actions
- Develop/maintain/update Databank based on historical information and update Projects Dashboard regularly
- Review resource deployment by Contractors/Consultants for adequacy and recommend enhancements
- Evaluate Variation requests/Claims for extension of project schedules and prepare recommendations
- Review Schedule Risk Analysis and ensure implementation of mitigation measures
- Coordinate with Project Control Managers of PMCs and FEED/EPC Contractors to ensure adherence to project control procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification
- 8 or more years of experience in Planning & Scheduling for large projects within the Oil and Gas industry
- Experience in coordinating and negotiating contractors and Consultants for execution of planning, scheduling, progress measurement and progress Reporting requirements
- Extensive and diversified hands on experience in project planning & scheduling principles, procedures/techniques and practices
- Ability to foresee delays well in advance and attention to detail
- Experience of both pre award and post award phases of project implementation with multi disciplinary approach
- Background in working for organizations in EPC for the Oil and Gas Industry
- Extensive knowledge and experience in usage of Planning Software during FEED / EPC phase
- PMP certification is preferred

Job Purpose
- Review and perform project planning, scheduling and monitoring activities for the assigned projects and to monitor the performance of the Consultants and Contractors on the major/complex high value Capital Projects.
