About the Role
ADNOC Group seeks a Senior Cathodic Protection Engineer to provide expert technical support for CP systems across onshore operations. The role involves design review, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of cathodic protection for buried structures, marine facilities, and tanks.

Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for all Cathodic Protection (CP) related issues.
- Consolidate standards, develop procedures, conduct site visits, and implement changes.
- Review project vendors/contractors documents and technical queries.
- Prepare scope of work for contracts and support technical evaluation of bids.
- Assist Projects teams in design, construction, and commissioning of CP systems.
- Advise Operations teams on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CP systems.
- Lead CP system efficiency and effectiveness surveys and studies.
- Conduct CP system audits and evaluate periodic performance.
- Review and endorse periodic Potential Survey reports, CIPS and DCVG & ACVG.
- Administer consultancy contracts related to CP surveys and studies.
- Explore and propose new technologies under Tech Road program.
- Mentor and develop UAE nationals in CP skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Corrosion Science, Metallurgical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering and science subjects.
- 8 years of experience in corrosion engineering design, including at least 5 years in a senior engineering position within the oil and gas industry.
- AMPP/NACE Certified CP Technologist or equivalent/higher in Cathodic Protection.

Job Purpose
- Provision of Professional and Technical support on design, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Cathodic Protection Systems.
- Ensure external corrosion protection of buried structures, marine structures, and internal protection of tanks and vessels.
- Establish function procedures and provide advice across ADNOC Onshore.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for all Cathodic Protection (CP) related issues.
- Consolidate standards, develop procedures, conduct workshops, and implement changes.
- Discuss and agree best approach to CP system during projects; ensure compliance with standards.
- Reduce CAPEX and OPEX through cost effective techniques and materials.
- Review project vendors/contractors documents and technical queries.
- Prepare scope of work for contracts; support technical evaluation of bids; conduct contractor audits.
- Assist Projects teams in design, construction, and commissioning of CP systems.
- Advise Operations teams on operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CP systems.
- Lead CP system efficiency and effectiveness surveys and studies.
- Conduct CP system audits and evaluate periodic performance.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Corrosion Science, Metallurgical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering and science subjects.
- 8 years of experience in corrosion engineering design, including at least 5 years in a senior engineering position within the oil and gas industry.
- AMPP/NACE Certified CP Technologist or equivalent/higher in Cathodic Protection.
