Role Overview
Jacobs is seeking a process engineering subject matter expert for peptide projects.
The role delivers basic and detailed engineering for life sciences projects and works with project, design, technical, and global delivery leaders.
Process Engineering Responsibilities
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams for peptide projects.
- Design peptide plant layouts and independently perform capacity mapping.
- Perform heat and mass balance, utility sizing, thermal rating, hydraulics, line sizing, and pump hydraulics calculations.
- Review vendor documentation and assess equipment selection for peptide processing systems.
Safety and Compliance
- Review design and construction for consistency and safety, including leading HAZOP and PHA reviews.
- Perform containment studies and provide guidance in GMP reviews.
- Apply current ISPE guidelines and regulatory requirements from USFDA, MHRA, WHO, and TGA.
Required Qualifications
- BE or Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 15-25 years of experience in design engineering.
