About the Role
ADNOC Group is hiring a Specialist in Completion Engineering to supervise and monitor drilling and well testing activities for group companies. The role involves reviewing well applications, budgets, and programs, and ensuring compliance with ADNOC policies.

Responsibilities
- Initiate, develop and follow up systems and procedures to monitor Group Companies, new JVs and SPC companies drilling and workover operations
- Develop, discuss and endorse performance indicators (KPI) and short and long term targets for drilling and workover operations
- Follow up drilling and workover activities and relevant petroleum engineering studies
- Monitor ADNOC Drilling COP compliance and provide input for updating Drilling Code Of Practices, Standards and Guidelines
- Ensure collection, distribution and provide input/feedback on lessons learned from Group Companies related to drilling operations
- Provide advice on short, medium and long term business plans and rig optimization
- Keep abreast of new drilling and workover technologies and best practices
- Provide technical advice regarding drilling services contracts
- Advise on development and implementation of drilling planning strategies for major drilling projects and rig acquisition
- Define and finalize field development options considering technology trends for drilling rigs
- Coordinate with Upstream Units in ranking and implementing plan for hydrocarbon fields
- Participate in task force teams with new JVs, Group Companies and SPCs companies on activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 9 years related experience in Drilling / Workover Operation and Petroleum Engineering
- Related experience in Drilling and Workover data management and studies is preferred
- Thorough knowledge in rig and drilling equipment and the processes leading up to approval of drilling activities
- Extensive experience in process, drilling and mechanical systems and equipment used in oil fields
- Excellent communication skills

Job Purpose
- Supervise, monitor and provide expertise for Group Companies, SPC companies and new JV companies’ drilling and well testing activities and operations.
- Ensure all activities are done in conformity with ADNOC policy by reviewing, analyzing and endorsing wells applications, budget and programs.
- Coordinate well drilling plan agreements and execution of exploration wells and major drilling projects.
- Supervise and monitor performance of drilling to ensure implementation of ADNOC corporate and HSE policy.
Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

- Follow up drilling and workover activities and relevant petroleum engineering studies.
- Monitor ADNOC Drilling COP compliance and provide input for updating standards.

Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 2)
- Provide input to Technical Committee Meetings and Drilling Well Integrity Sub Committee Meetings.
- Coordinate ADNOC’s inputs to workshops, meetings, taskforces to address rig drilling and HSE issues.
- Act as ADNOC’s representative in system and workplace audits on selected drilling operations.
- Review action plans and investigation reports for lost time incidents.
Generic Accountabilities
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in assigned area.
- Train and develop assigned staff.
- Provide input for preparation of budgets.
- Implement approved policies, systems, and procedures.
- Contribute to achievement of Performance Objectives.
- Design and implement new tools and techniques for improvement.
- Comply with HSE policies and sustainability guidelines.
- Provide inputs to MIS and progress reports.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 9 years related experience in Drilling / Workover Operation and Petroleum Engineering.
- Related experience in Drilling and Workover data management and studies is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge in rig and drilling equipment.
- Extensive experience in process, drilling and mechanical systems used in oil fields.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Physical Effort: Minimal
- Work Environment: A/C environment, could be exposed to prevailing weather conditions during occasional site visits.
