Specialist - Air Transport

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting analysis and research on international aviation policies, market trends, and emerging issues to provide insights and recommendations for the development of the strategic positions and policies related to air transport.
• Facilitating the negotiation and implementation of air transport arrangements by preparing position papers, coordinating meetings with relevant stakeholders, and ensuring compliance.
• Prepare reports on economic and diplomatic factors which impact on negotiations air transport arrangements with UAE's current as well as prospective bilateral partners.
• Planning the annual prioritization of countries and ensuring that in the undertaking of negotiations on air transport arrangements, all relevant documentation and compliance is ensured.
• Develop and prepare the ASAs, MoUs, record of discussions, working papers, presentations and all other related air transport documentation based on the line manager requests.
• Ensure a proper execution of the constitutional (Statutory) process and requirements in coordination with for the Cabinet endorsement, as relevant to agreed Air Services Agreements.
• Manage and Maintain the relationship with local and international stakeholders, for the purpose of supporting the UAE's open sky policy and facilitate air transport activities.
• Undertake effective collaboration with relevant Project Managers to support the review of initiatives as well as to ensure compliance with defined regulatory and safety standards.
• Manage and participate in Air Transport projects and other special projects, as assigned.
