Role overview
Serve as a subject matter expert in ADC process engineering for Jacobs projects.
Deliver basic and detailed engineering work for ADC projects, including R&D and QC laboratories.
The role supports life sciences design consulting and reports to the DM-Process.
Process engineering duties
- Prepare Process Flow Diagrams and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams.
- Design ADC plant layouts and independently perform plant capacity mapping.
- Select equipment for ADC products from laboratory scale to commercial-scale production.
- Perform heat and mass balances, utility sizing, heat exchanger thermal ratings, hydraulics, line sizing, and pump hydraulics.
- Review vendor documentation and design and construction for consistency and safety.
- Lead HAZOP and PHA reviews.
- Perform containment studies and select containment for OEL below 0.01 mg/m3.
- Provide guidance in GMP reviews.
- Address waste handling and raw material handling and storage for ADC plants.
Required qualifications
- BE in Chemical Engineering.
- 15–25 years of experience in design engineering.
- Current or previous experience in a design consulting organization working on life sciences projects.
