Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel is seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef for its kitchen team.
The Sous Chef will support the Head Chef, supervise kitchen staff, and help deliver consistently high-quality dishes and guest experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Direct and support kitchen team members to ensure excellence and consistency in dishes.
- Oversee kitchen staff performance and maintain product standards.
- Assist with menu creation and perform cost analysis to maintain profitability.
- Manage inventory and back-of-house food and labour expenses.
- Implement standards for presentation, sanitation, service, and product quality.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food standards.
- Manage recruitment, induction, training, and rostering of kitchen team members.
- Refine recipes for dietary restrictions, allergies, and diverse culinary preferences.
Shift details
- Immediate start is available.
- The roster rotates across Monday to Sunday.
- Both morning and afternoon shifts are available.
