Responsibilities
- Support the Chef De Cuisine in managing day to day operations of the Italian restaurant kitchen
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes and standards
- Supervise food preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and service standards
- Assist in developing menus, seasonal specialties, and innovative culinary concepts
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage procedures to ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of kitchen areas
- Assist in stock control, inventory management, purchasing, and minimizing food wastage
- Lead, train, and motivate culinary colleagues to support professional development
- Support VIP events, private dining experiences, and bespoke culinary requests
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum 4–6 years of culinary experience, including supervisory experience, within an Italian restaurant or luxury hospitality environment
- Michelin starred restaurant experience is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, and luxury dining standards
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chef De Cuisine in managing day to day operations of the Italian restaurant kitchen.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to established recipes, presentation standards, and portion controls.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and authenticity across all menu offerings.
- Supervise food preparation, cooking techniques, plating, and service standards.
- Assist in development of menus, seasonal specialties, and innovative culinary concepts inspired by authentic Italian cuisine.
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during all service periods.
- Monitor food quality, freshness, and storage procedures to ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of all kitchen areas.
- Assist in stock control, inventory management, purchasing, and minimizing food wastage.
- Lead, train, and motivate culinary colleagues to support professional development.
- Support recruitment, scheduling, performance management, and coaching of kitchen colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with culinary and front of house teams for seamless service.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 4–6 years of culinary experience, including supervisory experience, within an Italian restaurant or luxury hospitality environment.
- Michelin starred restaurant experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine, cooking techniques, kitchen operations, and luxury dining standards.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to lead and perform effectively in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Professional attitude with a passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
