Role Overview
Support the Executive Chef in managing catering kitchen operations for events and functions.
Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, hygiene, and timely production in high-volume catering and hotel banquet operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, organizing, and supervising daily catering kitchen operations.
- Lead the kitchen team during preparation, production, service, and event execution.
- Plan and coordinate food production for banquets, events, corporate functions, weddings, and large-scale catering requirements.
- Ensure food follows approved recipes, quality standards, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
- Coordinate with Events and Operations teams for smooth event execution.
- Monitor preparation timelines and ensure dishes are ready for service on schedule.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP compliance.
- Monitor stock, minimize food waste, and support food cost control.
- Conduct daily kitchen briefings and delegate team responsibilities.
- Train, coach, and develop Commis Chefs, CDPs, and other kitchen team members.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, labeling, and temperature control of food products.
- Assist with menu planning and maintain consistent culinary standards across events.
