Role Overview
Architect and lead operations infrastructure services across Linux, AIX, and container platforms.
Administer and support mission-critical Linux environments on physical, virtual, and hybrid platforms.
Manage lifecycle activities, performance tuning, automation, security, and continuous operating-system optimization.
Responsibilities
- Architect and manage RHEL, CentOS, and SUSE Linux systems for critical infrastructure.
- Design and manage AIX servers in pSeries architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and PowerVM environments.
- Automate operating system deployments, patching, and configuration using Ansible and SaltStack.
- Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to support security compliance.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks and implement permanent fixes through Linux and AIX root cause analysis.
- Collaborate on disaster recovery readiness and participate in high-availability testing.
- Provide infrastructure technical support, contribute to projects, and maintain operational documentation.
- Address infrastructure incidents while following established service-delivery standards.
