Client Requirement Analysis
- Identifying the data required to analyze the customer’s business in order to deliver the optimum logistics solution, processes, material flow, storage methods, warehouse layouts, resource levels, costs etc.
- Gather and analyze client requirements related to logistics and supply chain operations.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand current operations and identify opportunities to improve a particular project
- Solution Design Development and pricing input for RFQ responses
- Development of logistics concepts and pricing - being able to design the best proposal for projects in various sectors with appropriate selection of processes, resources and solutions available on the market including automation and robotics.Typically involved in creating standard or moderately complex solutions
- Utilize logistics modeling tools and software to simulate and optimize proposed logistics solutions.
- Translating approved logistics solutions and cost models into specified design (i.e. process flows, charts, etc.) in compliance with customer and company requirements.
- Preparing high quality proposals including writing relevant sections and production of tables, graphs, and diagrams in line with the corporate style guide.
- Support Business Development with the required input to technical and commercial proposals for the projects.
- Being fully accountable for the delivery of work assignments on time and to expectations in terms of quality, deliverables, and outcomes. Submits solutions, business cases and other forms of written projects with the support of senior teammates and manager.
- Having at least basic ability to estimate high-level project plans, workflows, and timelines for solution implementation of the project and scope that is designed and presented to the internal/external customer.
Technical Expertise
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the cost & resource models in UAE (supportive for IMEA)
- Excellent knowledge of national operations
- Designing logistics solutions that incorporate best practices and apply knowledge of general logistics best practices, industry trends, and technologies to design innovative solutions.
- Testing solutions through brainstorming and benchmarking exercises, support the warehousing best practice benchmarking and replication of best practices and processes across the organization. Evaluate options for solutions and services.
- Attempt to present alternative concepts for the benefit of the business and the client.
- Evaluate and recommend logistics technologies and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Engage in and consult the development, delivery and evaluation of projects.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of both the logistics industry and the defined service group (focus on warehousing) by attending trade shows and exhibitions, reading relevant journals and through membership of appropriate trade associations.
Client Collaboration
- Contribute to a client-focused approach to service delivery.
- Cooperate closely with other functions (Operations, HR, IT, BPE, Procurement, Legal, Finance etc.) in order to gather the required input for technical & commercial proposal and work collaboratively to contribute to achieving multiple team’s business outcomes.
- Engage with other CEVA functions, other specialists, and vendors, providing a key link between the needs of the business and the developing solution.
- Work closely with sales teams during client negotiations and solution presentations.
- Present proposed solutions to clients, addressing their queries and concerns.
- Facilitate the communication around the project and progress, concisely presenting the highlights & key elements of the project in accordance with the target group.
- Participate in internal distribution optimization and re-design projects on national level (regional if agreed) to identify potential inefficiencies and cost improvements.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships and open channels of communication.
- Project Management (applicable but not limited to implementation of won/approved projects under SD stream)
- Overseeing multiple projects and ensuring support for their successful implementation
- Support cross-functional project teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
- Conducting cost analysis and preparing project plans
- Continuous Improvement (applicable but not limited to renewals)
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within existing logistics operations.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate solution performance and identify areas for refinement.
- Expressing proactivity regarding valuable tasks also outside the assigned scope of duties.
