Own the technical architecture for platforms supporting deal execution, portfolio administration, and enterprise reporting.
Create scalable, secure, and auditable solutions that meet regulatory obligations and support commercial agility.
Partner with investment, operations, and compliance functions to translate business priorities into technical plans.
Success is measured through production reliability, roadmap delivery speed, and reduced operational friction.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and document end-to-end investment, portfolio, and operational solutions.
- Translate requirements into architecture designs, roadmaps, and implementation artefacts.
- Define APIs, integration patterns, data models, and non-functional requirements for security, resilience, and observability.
- Lead architecture governance, code reviews, and design reviews.
- Evaluate cloud, middleware, and third-party options and support vendor due diligence, proofs of concept, and procurement.
- Mentor engineering teams on API design, data management, and CI/CD.
Requirements
- At least eight years as a solution architect or senior technical architect, preferably in finance, banking, or investment.
- Experience integrating front-office, back-office, and reporting systems.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture, API-first design, and middleware.
- Understanding of security, resilience, and regulatory requirements for financial systems.
- Executive stakeholder engagement and technical strategy presentation experience.
- Experience with vendor selection, proofs of concept, and technical due diligence.
- Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent professional experience; relevant certifications are advantageous.
