Role Overview

The Executive Manager will lead technical delivery for a cybersecurity squad in a major banking environment.

The role covers application security, AI governance, continuous security validation and compliance evidence.

The position combines strategic direction, technical oversight, governance and delivery leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set direction for application security, AI governance, continuous validation and compliance workstreams.
  • Translate approved policies into operational controls and measurable service-level outcomes.
  • Maintain supervisory-review readiness through evidence quality, traceability and remediation.
  • Own the consolidated cybersecurity tooling environment and its lifecycle.
  • Evaluate vendor consolidation and define integration patterns.
  • Manage evidence flow from DefectDojo through attestation and Power BI reporting.
  • Act as the first-line technical counterpart to risk, assurance and AI stakeholders.
  • Lead the Security Champions Guild.
  • Prioritise competing demands based on risk, regulation and business impact.
  • Present the monthly DevSecOps Governance Dashboard to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Substantial cybersecurity engineering, security architecture or comparable technical security leadership experience.
  • Strong DevSecOps, secure software delivery and Azure and AWS security experience.
  • Expertise in AI security, LLM security, AI governance or controls for emerging technologies.
  • Experience in banking, financial services or another closely regulated industry.
  • Working knowledge of CBUAE Decree-Law 6/2025 and relevant UAE enabling-technology and AI/ML guidance.
  • Familiarity with the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and ISO/IEC 42001.
  • Experience with a three-lines-of-defence model and first-line control delivery.
  • Ability to engage second-line stakeholders on policy, risk, assurance, testing and remediation evidence.

Technology Environment

  • The tooling environment includes SonarQube, Snyk, ServiceNow IRM, Security Agent, Claude, Codex, OPA, Microsoft Defender for Cloud and AWS Security Hub.
  • The role uses DefectDojo, attestation processes and Power BI governance reporting.
