Software Engineer/Developer II - Huntsville, AL

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-discipline integrated product teams using Agile development methods.
• Develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
• Assist with requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded and application software.
• Develop new work products and enhance existing applications and systems.
• Stay current with modern languages, AI, machine learning, DevSecOps, and related technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional software programming experience.
• Experience in software development, integration, and testing using C++, Java, Ada, or a similar object-oriented language.
• Active transferable U.S. government clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance before starting.
• U.S. citizenship is required for the security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile methods, including Scrum, SAFe, or test-driven development.
• Experience with Generative AI, machine learning, continuous integration, Git, Azure, Atlassian tools, Eclipse, or Ansible.
• Experience with multithreading, memory management, performance optimization, shell scripting, and debugging tools.
• Experience with embedded systems, real-time systems, network protocols, RTOS, open architectures, or modular design.

• The position is classified as onsite in Huntsville, Alabama.
• The role is a U.S.-based position and may be eligible for relocation.

Compensation

• The stated salary range is 68,900 USD to 131,100 USD.
• Benefits and annual incentive programs may be available depending on the business unit and position coverage.
