The Software Engineering Manager leads a team that works with Product Managers and customers to solve employer benefits challenges.
The role combines people leadership, product and technology roadmaps, and hands-on software engineering.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges and make data-informed decisions.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions.
- Drive TDD, BDD, microservice, and vertical slice engineering practices.
- Support live applications through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze systems and processes for bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Mentor engineers and foster continuous learning.
- Lead technical initiatives and make decisions on methods and approaches.
- Use OKRs to hold the team accountable for quality results.
- Interact with Senior Managers about plans, results, and complex matters.
Experience You Will Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
