Position Summary
Responsible for monitoring and supervising assigned construction project(s) on a daily basis throughout various project phases, including coordination, progress review, quality control, work scheduling, outage requirements, safety compliance, testing and commissioning, and processing contractors’ invoices.
The role requires solid experience in EHV/HV project management and construction activities related to Substations, Underground Cables, Overhead Transmission Lines, Civil, Electro-Mechanical, and Protection works.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise assigned construction project(s) on a daily basis throughout various project phases.
- Establish project and quality control procedures.
- Prepare and monitor work schedules.
- Identify outage requirements.
- Coordinate with contractors and SEC departments.
- Review project progress.
- Review design drawings, materials, and submittals.
- Ensure compliance with Safety and Loss Prevention requirements.
- Witness testing and commissioning activities.
- Process contractors’ invoices.
Technical Knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of EHV/HV project management and construction activities related to Substations, Underground Cables, Overhead Transmission Lines, Civil, Electro-Mechanical, and Protection works.
Minimum Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of experience, including at least six (6) years as a
Site Manager
- in a large power utility company in EHV/HV project management and construction activities related to Substations, Underground Cables, Overhead Transmission Lines, Civil, Electro-Mechanical, and Protection works.
- For Saudi nationals: minimum six (6) years of experience, including at least three (3) years as a Site Manager.
- Professional certification in project management or a related discipline is preferred.
