Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and variances
- Perform earned value analysis (EVM) and monitor cost and schedule performance
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards for executive management
- Automate recurring reports using Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and Excel
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial performance reviews
- Support change order analysis and cost impact assessments
- Coordinate with Finance, PMO, Operations, Procurement, and Project Managers
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- 5 8+ years of experience in Cost Control, Project Controls, or Project Finance
- Experience in engineering, EPC, consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects
- Proven experience building Power BI dashboards
- Strong background in data analysis and executive reporting
- PMP certification (preferred or required)
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) preferred

Job Summary
- The Cost Control Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing project costs through advanced cost control methodologies, data analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- The role combines engineering expertise with financial analysis to develop cost models, monitor project performance, build executive dashboards, automate reporting, and provide actionable insights.
- The ideal candidate is an engineer with strong analytical capabilities, advanced Power BI skills, and a PMP certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost control systems throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project budgets, commitments, actual costs, forecasts, and variances.
- Analyze project profitability and identify cost saving opportunities.
- Perform earned value analysis (EVM) and monitor cost and schedule performance.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and financial performance reviews.
- Support budgeting, planning, and project financial forecasting.
- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from ERP systems, project management platforms, and financial systems.
- Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards for executive management.
- Build automated KPI dashboards that provide real time visibility into project and business performance.
- Develop data models and establish relationships between multiple data sources.
- Perform trend analysis, predictive analysis, and variance analysis to support business decisions.
- Identify patterns, risks, and opportunities using advanced analytics techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- PMP® (Project Management Professional) – Required / Preferred
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL 300) – Preferred
- Certified Cost Professional (CCP) – Preferred
- PMI SP or PMI RMP – Advantage
- 5–8+ years of experience in Cost Control, Project Controls, or Project Finance.
- Experience in engineering, EPC, consulting, infrastructure, or construction projects.
- Proven experience building Power BI dashboards.
- Strong background in data analysis and executive reporting.
- Experience working with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred.
