Role Overview
Own the technical architecture, development, performance, and continuous optimisation of Valerie's ecommerce and web platforms across multiple brands.
Take responsibility for the wider digital ecosystem, including CMS platforms, infrastructure, integrations, analytics, SEO, and customer experience.
Success includes reliable scalable platforms, faster websites, stronger Core Web Vitals, accurate tracking, improved conversion, and reduced technical debt.
Responsibilities
- Work with Growth, Product, SEO, Content, and Operations teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performing digital platforms.
- Provide technical direction to developers and establish strong engineering standards.
- Lead and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and communicate technical recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify performance issues, technical debt, and opportunities to improve website development and management.
- Evaluate new technologies, automation, and AI-assisted development tools that can improve engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Bring 8–10 years of experience in Shopify and ecommerce development.
