Carry out reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and site equipment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related faults.
Support production and operational departments with machinery troubleshooting and fault resolution.
Ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime through effective maintenance practices.
Participate in equipment commissioning, installation, and improvement projects.
Adhere to all electrical regulations and standards, including IEE Wiring Regulations where applicable.
Follow established Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures at all times.
Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Record maintenance activities accurately using electronic maintenance management systems and other reporting methods.
Communicate maintenance issues, corrective actions, and recommendations effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Review maintenance performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Support root cause analysis activities and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Contribute to improving maintenance processes and best practices across the site.
Time-served Maintenance Technician with a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
Previous maintenance experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience working with PLC-controlled equipment (ideally Allen Bradley systems).
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Mechanical maintenance experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations qualification.
HNC or equivalent qualification in Engineering.
NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
Experience supporting equipment installation and commissioning projects.
