Server Location: Winter Resort Area Department: Food & Beverage Position Type: [Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal] Reports To: Food & Beverage Supervisor Position Summary: We are looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The Server is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while accurately taking and serving food and beverage orders in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, can confidently multitask, and maintains a positive and composed attitude during busy shifts. A strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, attention to detail, and a commitment to creating an excellent guest experience are essential to success in this role. Key Responsibilities: *Greet and engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. *Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. *Maintain strong knowledge of food, beer, wine, and beverage menus. *Make knowledgeable recommendations and confidently present daily food and beverage specials. *Follow all food allergy policies and safety protocols. *Ensure guests receive the correct orders and are satisfied with their dining experience. *Identify and address guest concerns promptly and professionally, seeking assistance from a supervisor when needed. *Prepare guest checks and accurately process payments. *Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked dining and service areas. *Clear tableware between courses and reset tables as needed. *Clear tables, floors, and windowsills promptly after guests depart. *Complete assigned side work throughout the shift. *Vacuum and clean the restaurant as needed. *Work collaboratively with kitchen, service, and management teams to provide an exceptional guest experience. *Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Qualifications: *High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent education, experience, or training may be considered. *Previous restaurant or serving experience is preferred but not required. *Excellent customer service and communication skills. *Ability to multitask and maintain focus and composure in a fast-paced environment. *Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and additional shifts as needed. *Vermont Department of Liquor Control certification is preferred. Training opportunities may be provided in some cases. Physical Requirements - This position requires the ability to: *Stand and walk for extended periods. *Frequently use hands and arms for handling, reaching, and serving. *Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. *Frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. *Perform duties requiring close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception. *Work safely and effectively in a busy restaurant environment. Winter Resort Conditions: This position is located in a winter resort environment. Employees may work in a variety of venues, including multi-level buildings, areas requiring steep stairways, and outdoor or semi-remote locations. Depending on the assigned work area, employees may need to travel via chairlift, skis, or snowboard. Work surfaces may be frozen, sloped, wet, or slippery, and employees should have appropriate footwear and clothing for changing weather conditions. Work schedules and hours may vary based on business needs, with a strong emphasis on weekends, holidays, and peak resort periods.
