A progressive financial institution in the UAE is appointing a Managing Director of Operations during a significant period of growth and transformation.
The role will reshape the operating model into a highly automated and scalable banking operation while maintaining customer service, regulatory standards, and cost discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end operational strategy and execution for future growth.
- Oversee customer onboarding, KYC, account servicing, cards, payments, and transaction processing.
- Drive AI, intelligent automation, and digital self-service across operations.
- Lead customer service, service standards, SLAs, complaints, and complex customer cases.
- Manage outsourcing, managed-service, and vendor relationships.
- Improve cost-to-serve, productivity, capacity, and cost-per-transaction.
- Ensure operational risk, resilience, business continuity, and regulatory controls.
- Lead senior operations teams and enterprise-wide operational transformation.
- Manage the operations budget and establish performance metrics.
Candidate Requirements
- 18+ years of banking or financial services experience, including executive-level leadership.
- Track record leading large-scale banking operations.
- Deep knowledge of customer operations, onboarding, KYC, cards, payments, and servicing.
- Experience implementing AI, automation, straight-through processing, or digital self-service.
- Experience managing outsourced operations, strategic vendors, and complex service arrangements.
- Success improving efficiency, productivity, and cost-to-serve.
- Knowledge of operational risk, resilience, and regulatory requirements in regulated banking.
- Experience developing sizeable senior operational teams and engaging boards, CEOs, and C-suite stakeholders.
