Investment origination and market mapping
- Identify and originate investment opportunities across media, entertainment, digital content, and adjacent technology sectors.
- Build relationships across the global media investment ecosystem.
- Develop investment themes and map emerging companies, technologies, and business models.
- Monitor trends including creator platforms, streaming, gaming, digital advertising, sports, content, and AI-enabled media.
Investment evaluation and execution
- Assess venture and growth investment opportunities from initial screening through completion.
- Lead market sizing, competitive positioning, business model assessment, financial modelling, and other commercial and financial analysis.
- Coordinate commercial, financial, legal, and technical due diligence.
- Prepare investment papers and recommendations for Investment Committee approval.
- Support negotiations on valuation, investment structure, and transaction terms.
Portfolio and value creation
- Work with founders and management teams following investment and monitor financial and operational performance.
- Identify growth opportunities through partnerships, international expansion, commercial introductions, and strategic initiatives.
- Support portfolio companies with fundraising, M&A, and potential exits.
- Prepare portfolio updates and recommendations for senior leadership and the Investment Committee.
Candidate profile
- Approximately 5–10 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic investment.
- Demonstrable experience evaluating and executing investments.
- Experience in media, entertainment, technology, gaming, sports, digital platforms, or consumer businesses is desirable.
- Strong media-business economics, financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis, and commercial judgment capabilities.
- Ability to engage with founders, senior executives, and investment committees across multiple markets.
