- Identify, pursue, and win new commercial insurance opportunities within targeted industries.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to build a robust pipeline of complex accounts.
- Conduct executive-level prospect meetings and risk assessments.
- Lead the entire sales process from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and implementation.
- Build relationships with C-suite executives, CFOs, risk managers, general counsel, and business owners.
- Analyze complex business operations and emerging risks.
- Design insurance and risk management programs that address property, casualty, professional liability, management liability, cyber, environmental, and specialty exposures.
- Deliver strategic recommendations that improve clients' total cost of risk.
- Coordinate stewardship meetings and annual risk reviews.
- Collaborate with internal broking resources, carrier underwriters and wholesale brokers to develop competitive program structures.
- Work with internal broking resources to negotiate coverage terms, pricing, and program design on behalf of clients.
- Stay informed on market trends, carrier appetite, emerging risks, and industry developments.
- Present coverage analyses and placement strategies to clients.
- Serve as the trusted advisor for assigned key accounts.
- Drive client retention and account expansion opportunities.
- Mentor producers and account team members.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers, industry associations, and referral partners.
- 10+ years of commercial insurance brokerage experience.
- Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business, insurance or risk management, preferred.
- Proven success generating and managing complex commercial accounts.
- Deep understanding of commercial property and casualty insurance.
- Experience with alternative risk financing, captives, large deductibles, or self-insured programs.
- Professional designations such as: CIC, CRM, CPCU, ARM, CRIS, preferred
- Existing network and expertise within targeted industry verticals including Agribusiness, Construction, Healthcare, Hospitality, Non-Profit, Transportation (trucking, last mile, marine, aviation, rail, etc), Real Estate, amongst others.
- Demonstrated ability to engage executive-level decision makers.
