- Guide pet parents through complex cases with clarity, honesty and compassion
- Help shape surgical protocols, equipment selection and clinical standards as the clinic grows
Requirements
- A recognised veterinary degree, and eligibility to practise as a veterinarian in the UAE (minimum 5 years' experience)
- Advanced surgical training: board certification (Diplomate ECVS or ACVS), CertAVP (GSAS), PgC(SAS), residency training, or a demonstrable specialist level orthopaedic caseload
- Real orthopaedic surgical range and sound judgement about when to operate and when not to
- The ability to teach and lift the team around you
- Warmth and ability to treat the pet parent as well as the pet

The Role
- You lead the orthopaedic surgery service at Paws & Co, managing a diverse caseload including cruciate ligament disease, fracture repair, patellar luxation, arthrodesis and complex musculoskeletal surgery.
- We are looking for a surgeon with experience in advanced techniques such as TPLO, TTA, locking plate fixation and external skeletal fixation.
What you will do
- Own the orthopaedic caseload end to end: work up, imaging interpretation, surgical planning, theatre and recovery.
- Operate the comfortable way, with the time, equipment and support needed to deliver the highest standard of care.
- Mentor our general practitioners and veterinary nurses, helping build surgical confidence and capability.
- Guide pet parents through complex cases with clarity, honesty and compassion.
- Help shape our surgical protocols, equipment selection and clinical standards as we grow and open future clinics.
What you bring
- A recognised veterinary degree, and eligibility to practise as a veterinarian in the UAE (minimum 5 years' experience).
- Advanced surgical training: board certification (Diplomate ECVS or ACVS), CertAVP (GSAS), PgC(SAS), residency training, or a demonstrable specialist level orthopaedic caseload.
