About the Role

Responsibilities
- Updating and applying transport models and developing conceptual road designs for infrastructure and development projects
- Carrying out demand forecasting and transport model analysis to support traffic impact studies and multimodal assessments
- Preparing traffic study reports and impact analysis reports for various road and development projects
- Performing microsimulation modelling analysis for road intersections, corridors, bus facilities, and development sites
- Applying standard and advanced traffic engineering techniques and analyses to solve complex traffic operational issues
- Providing input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters and Designers working on the same projects
- Ensuring that all traffic engineering work complies with applicable standards, guidelines, and client requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Traffic/Transportation Engineering
- 10 years of experience in traffic operations, traffic analysis, and transport planning studies
- Strong understanding of transport modelling, demand forecasting, and multimodal methodologies
- Proven experience with Traffic Impact Studies and traffic operational analysis
- Thorough experience with SYNCHRO, VISUM, VISSIM, HCS, and other traffic engineering/modelling software
- Experience in parking management, parking demand and supply analysis, parking design within buildings
- Familiarity with Highway Capacity Manual (HCM)
- Must have valid MME registration in Qatar
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Role Overview

What You'll Be Doing
- Updating and applying transport models and developing conceptual road designs for infrastructure and development projects.
- Carrying out demand forecasting and transport model analysis to support traffic impact studies and multimodal assessments.

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Traffic/Transportation Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in traffic operations, traffic analysis, and transport planning studies, preferably in the Gulf region.
- Strong understanding of transport modelling, demand forecasting, and multimodal methodologies.
- Proven experience with Traffic Impact Studies and traffic operational analysis.
- Thorough experience with transport planning and traffic analysis tools such as SYNCHRO, VISUM, VISSIM, HCS, and other traffic engineering/modelling software.
- Experience in parking management, parking demand and supply analysis, parking design within buildings, internal traffic circulation, and determining the number of accesses/egresses.
- Familiarity with relevant international traffic and transport standards and guidelines, including the Highway Capacity Manual (HCM).
- Must have valid MME registration in Qatar.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear technical reports and presentations.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
- Knowledge of Qatar local standards and guidelines, including QHDM, QTCM, and MOT LTPD procedures for transport studies.
- Prior experience working in Qatar is preferable.
- Strong report writing skills and experience preparing technical presentations for clients and stakeholders.
