Job Summary

Direct engineering, technical support, testing and commissioning, inspection, and handover activities for fire and life safety systems.

Coordinate activities with the Commissioning Manager and follow company quality and customer care standards.

Planning and Delivery

  • Plan and control testing and commissioning work for assigned projects and jobs in process.
  • Ensure all testing and commissioning requirements are covered and implemented according to project requirements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive work plans and procedures.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and report to local authorities.

Compliance and Quality

  • Ensure compliance with quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Develop and implement procedures aligned with QCDD regulations and international codes and standards.
  • Ensure work complies with codes, NFPA standards, regulations, and permits.

Engineering Coordination

  • Review shop drawings for completeness against specifications, contracts, and project documents.
  • Coordinate with the technical and engineering team at the main office.
  • Maintain local authority specifications, standards, and requirements.
  • Coordinate mimic panels, smoke panels, calculations, schematic diagrams, shop drawings, and C&E matrices.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • UPDA engineering registration certificate.
  • QCDD certification as a fire engineer.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 101.
  • Fire systems manufacturer certification, including Carrier Fire System, EST3, EST4, Xtralis, or AP Sensing.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Primavera, and advanced office software.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum 8 years of working experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a relevant supervisory position.
  • Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering.
