Senior Technical Software Engineer - AI Computer Vision

Job Purpose

In This Role You Will

• Lead discovery and technical assessment of Computer Vision and AI initiatives for contactless, non-intrusive passenger experiences.
• Own Computer Vision and AI solutions across architecture, model selection, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Design and optimize GPU-accelerated pipelines for multi-camera vision, video analytics, and AI inference across high-volume video streams.
• Drive adoption of Computer Vision, AI, and NVIDIA technologies for passenger experience, operational efficiency, security, and automation.
• Resolve complex issues involving model accuracy, camera configuration, video processing, GPU performance, integration, and production reliability.
• Integrate Computer Vision solutions with airport technology ecosystems in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Mentor engineering teams and establish standards for model development, benchmarking, deployment, monitoring, and improvement.
• Promote modern engineering practices, automation, Agile delivery, test-driven development, root cause analysis, and blameless incident reviews.
• Conduct design reviews, contribute domain expertise to planning, and participate in technology communities of practice.
• Use approved enterprise platforms, tools, and libraries and support product maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• Degree or Honours in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering experience delivering large-scale secure AI or Computer Vision solutions.
• Experience with GPU-accelerated inference, video analytics, and enterprise Agile environments.
• Hands-on experience with multi-camera detection, recognition, tracking, Re-ID, and 3D or multi-view vision across the model lifecycle.
• Experience building enterprise AI solutions using DevOps, edge or cloud deployment, AI-assisted development tools, and responsible AI practices.
• Proven technical leadership and mentoring with strong stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, incident management, root cause analysis, and production support capabilities.

Knowledge and Skills

• Software engineering with microservices, Python, C++, NodeJS, Java, algorithms, data structures, concurrency, performance engineering, and Solace integration.
• Computer Vision and video processing with camera calibration, spatial mapping, RTSP or IP cameras, GStreamer, and hardware-accelerated pipelines.
• AI and ML development with PyTorch, OpenCV, ONNX Runtime, dataset curation, annotation, training, fine-tuning, Vision Foundation Models, VLMs, Generative AI, and Edge AI.
• NVIDIA and GPU computing with MV3DT, DeepStream SDK, TAO Toolkit, TensorRT, CUDA, GPU inference, FP16 or INT8, Omniverse, Isaac Sim, and USD.
• Data, cloud, and deployment experience with relational or NoSQL databases, CI/CD, observability, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kafka, and edge-to-cloud deployment.
• Secure data handling across collection, training, and deployment in sensitive environments.
