Responsibilities
- Develop patterns from sketches, design concepts, and reference images
- Create and refine patterns for corsets, bustiers, structured bodices, gowns, and couture garments
- Perform draping, pattern modifications, grading, and technical adjustments
- Construct prototypes, samples, and bespoke garments
- Execute advanced tailoring and couture sewing techniques
- Participate in fittings and implement necessary garment and pattern alterations
- Analyze fit issues and provide technical construction solutions
- Apply traditional and modern corsetry construction methods
- Work with luxury fabrics, embellishments, and hand finishing techniques
- Ensure garments meet luxury quality and couture craftsmanship standards
- Maintain pattern archives, technical notes, and garment documentation
- Collaborate closely with design and atelier teams throughout the development process
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in couture, bridal wear, evening wear, luxury fashion, tailoring, or pattern making
- Proven experience in corsetry and structured garment construction
- Strong expertise in pattern making, garment construction, fittings, and alterations
- Ability to create patterns directly from sketches and design concepts
- Strong understanding of garment balance, silhouette development, and body shaping
- Experience working with luxury fabrics, embellishments, and couture finishing techniques
- Portfolio showcasing relevant couture, bridal, evening wear, or corsetry work is preferred
