Senior System Administrator – UAE (On-site)
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator to design, implement, and manage our IT infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in server administration, virtualization, backup & disaster recovery, and data center operations, and will ensure high availability, security, and performance of our IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server (2012–2022) and Linux environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, IAM, and domain controllers.
- Build and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere / Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud environments (AWS / Azure).
- Administer backup and disaster recovery systems (Veeam, Avamar, Commvault) and maintain DRP strategies.
- Deploy and manage monitoring solutions (PRTG, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system performance and compliance.
- Oversee data center operations, including hardware lifecycle management, capacity planning, and upgrades.
- Automate processes and optimize infrastructure using PowerShell, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD practices.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in System Administration / Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong expertise in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, virtualization, backup solutions, monitoring, and DRP.
- Experience in DevOps methodologies, containerization, and cloud infrastructure management is a plus.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems, ensure uptime, and enforce IT security standards.
