Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Administrator responsible for managing, monitoring, securing, and optimizing the organization's Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
  • The role involves provisioning cloud resources, ensuring high availability, implementing security controls, managing backups and disaster recovery, monitoring performance, and supporting cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Azure Cloud Administration

  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure and services.
  • Deploy, configure, and monitor Azure Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, and Azure Backup.
  • Implement and manage Azure Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Monitor cloud resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure Security Center.
  • Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Configure and maintain Azure Site Recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Administer Azure Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateways, and VPN Gateways.
  • Troubleshoot pods, services, deployments, and cluster level issues.
  • Implement autoscaling, node pools, and resource optimization.
  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and scripting tools.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deploy, manage, and upgrade AKS clusters.

Windows Server & Active Directory

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022).
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and certificate services.
  • Plan and execute patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Hybrid Infrastructure & Identity Management

  • Design and support hybrid infrastructure environments and integration between on prem and cloud systems.
  • Maintain identity and access management, including MFA, SSO, and conditional access policies.
  • Oversee the synchronization of on prem AD with Azure AD.

Monitoring, Automation, and Troubleshooting

  • Configure and monitor systems using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and SCOM.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to performance, reliability, and security.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and cost optimization of Azure resources.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, cloud, and identity related issues.
  • Write and maintain scripts for automation of routine admin tasks.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system diagrams.

Collaboration and Leadership

  • Provide Level 3 support for complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior system administrators and support staff.
  • Document infrastructure changes and maintain SOPs and knowledge base articles.
  • Participate in IT planning and architecture discussions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage, Backup & Site Recovery, Key Vault, and Azure IaaS/PaaS services.
  • Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and hybrid identity solutions.
  • Microsoft 365 services, Exchange Online, service integrations, security configuration, and administration.
  • Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 deployment, management, patching, and maintenance.
  • PowerShell scripting, automation, and operational task optimization.
  • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, security best practices, identity protection, ISO 27001, and GDPR compliance.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and Azure networking concepts.
  • Experience with ARM Templates, Bicep, Terraform, and Azure Landing Zones.
  • Experience managing on premises and Azure hybrid environments, migrations, and integrations.
  • Cloud and hybrid backup solutions, business continuity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Infrastructure monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), documentation, and operational support.
  • Strong problem solving, communication, collaboration & ability to work independently in team environments.

Education Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8 10 years of experience in Windows Server administration and infrastructure support.
  • 7+ years of hands on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Architect Certification (AZ 305) (Highly Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ 104)
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ 500)
