Role Summary

  • The SAP PM L2 Consultant supports the implementation, configuration, and day to day operations of SAP Plant Maintenance / Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions.
  • The role focuses on maintaining system stability, supporting maintenance operations, and assisting in continuous improvement of asset management processes integrated with SAP S/4HANA or ECC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support core SAP PM processes: notification and work order management, preventive and breakdown maintenance, refurbishment and shutdown maintenance.
  • Maintain and support master data: equipment, functional locations, task lists, maintenance plans, bills of material (BOMs).
  • Support work order lifecycle from creation to settlement.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance planning; assist in configuring maintenance strategies and plans.
  • Support calibration, inspection, and condition based maintenance; monitor maintenance backlog, compliance, and KPIs.
  • Support integration with MM (spares, procurement), FI/CO (order settlement, cost tracking), Production (PP) and EHS.
  • Ensure data consistency across EAM processes; support master data governance and data quality.
  • Support minor configuration changes and enhancements; assist in UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
  • Document functional specifications and SOPs; coordinate with L3 consultants for complex issues.
  • Provide L2 support to maintenance planners, engineers, and technicians; support user training and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist in rollout activities for new plants or assets; support change management and adoption initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 4–6 years of SAP PM / EAM experience.
  • Hands on experience with SAP PM processes.
  • Experience supporting SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
  • Good understanding of maintenance operations and asset lifecycle.
  • Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Preferred: SAP PM / EAM certification.
  • Preferred: Experience in Manufacturing.
  • Preferred: Exposure to shutdowns, turnarounds, and large asset environments.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of mobile maintenance or integration with EWM.
