Senior Supply Chain Specialist

Role Description

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor raw material requirements and prepare purchase plans.
• Coordinate with local and international suppliers, request and evaluate quotations, negotiate prices and terms, issue purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
• Monitor inventory levels, consumption rates, stock availability, batch numbers, and expiry dates to prevent production delays or excess stock.
• Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality Control, Finance, and Procurement teams.
• Evaluate supplier performance, identify alternative suppliers, manage supply risks, support cost reduction, and improve procurement and inventory processes.
• Ensure chemical raw materials are properly documented, stored, handled, and received according to company procedures and applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in supply chain, procurement, and raw material planning.
• Experience in paints, coatings, chemicals, construction chemicals, or manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of chemical raw materials used in paint manufacturing, including resins, pigments, solvents, additives, and fillers.
• Strong experience in supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, negotiation, purchasing, and delivery follow-up.
• Experience in inventory management, including stock control, replenishment planning, consumption tracking, and batch and expiry-date monitoring.
• Analytical ability for demand forecasting, material planning, cost analysis, and supplier evaluation.
• Ability to coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Quality, Finance, and Procurement departments.
• Knowledge of local and international chemical raw material suppliers is advantageous.
• Ability to identify supply risks and develop alternative sourcing solutions.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for purchasing, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Experience preparing supply chain KPIs and management reports.
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
