About the Role

- Develop lift and haul schedules at site and assist optimization of lifting resources
- Provide planning, selection of crane, lifting gear & equipment, instruction, and safety precaution
- Ensure lifting activities are planned, scheduled, executed with highest regard for personal safety and environment
- Support in developing method statement and JSA's
- Conduct daily site audits to ensure HSE and lifting/hauling inspections and procedure compliance
- Monitor project lifting & rigging operations to ensure lifts performed per approved rigging plans
- Responsible for day to day cranes and lifting activities at site
- Qualified person for load out, load in, hauling and erection activities using lifting equipment
- Ensure lifting/hauling equipment are well maintained, inspected and certified
- Conduct training of rigging personnel, VOC assessments and maintain records
- Review and approve lift plans, rigging & lifting procedures including subcontractor's
Requirements
- 12+ years rigging & lifting site experience in direct hire construction with international oil & gas EPC company
- Minimum 8 years experience as a rigging supervisor
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Lifting Superintendent
- College graduate, preferably an engineer
- Extensive lifting and rigging international standards knowledge (ASME, OHSA, LOLER)
- Formal training by approved third party institute accredited by OPITO
- Ability to produce working reports and coordinate SIMOPS
- Ability to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators

Key Duties

Knowledge & Qualifications
- 12+ years rigging & lifting site experience in direct hire construction with international oil & gas EPC company.

- College graduate, preferably an engineer.
- Experience in CIS/FSU, Middle East, and/or North Africa preferred.
- Prior experience with diverse international workforce preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Good communications skills.
- Extensive lifting and rigging international standards knowledge (ASME, OHSA, LOLER).
- Trained and competent per local legal requirements (e.g., Abu Dhabi EHSMS).
- Formal training by approved third party institute accredited by OPITO.
- Able to produce working reports.
- Able to coordinate SIMOPS.
- Able to train and qualify riggers, rigging supervisors and crane operators.
- Working knowledge and interpretation skills of lifting drawing and calculations.
- Capable of reviewing and approving lift plans/studies, rigging & lifting procedures.
- General knowledge in inspection of lifting gears and equipment.
