About the Role
Petrofac is seeking an Advisor I - HSSE for their fabrication yard in Abu Dhabi. The role involves assisting with HSE plans, conducting training, investigating incidents, and ensuring compliance with HSE requirements.

Responsibilities
- Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements.
- Ensure training, toolbox meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the training and HSE program.
- Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned.
- Oversee day to day HSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility.
- Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
- Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees as required.
- Apply hazard identification and risk assessment processes and implement appropriate control measures.
- Ensure HSE requirements are communicated to all relevant personnel and verify compliance.
- Promote HSE awareness through participating in HSE awareness campaigns.
- Participate fully and openly in all compliance assurance audits, inspections, performance meetings.
- Carry out other related tasks as advised by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree (4 years) or Diploma (3 years) from an authorized institution
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
- Lead or Internal Auditor (ISO 45001/ ISO 14001)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects in oil & gas or petrochemical industries
- Ability to conduct HSE orientation/induction/awareness sessions
- Ability to understand and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures
- Practical experience in Safe System of Work (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
- Awareness of practical H2S control measures
- Ability to conduct HSE inspections
- Ability to understand and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures
- Ability to speak, read and write English with good communication skills

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor Degree (4 years) OR Diploma (3 years) from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees.
- NEBOSH IGC or equivalent.
- Lead or Internal Auditor (ISO 45001/ ISO 14001).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
