Responsibilities
- Implement approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and procedural requirements
- Supervise day to day Safety department operations to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, processes, and procedures
- Oversee the effective implementation of incident investigation processes and conduct investigations and reporting of safety incidents
- Plan, organize, and deliver a wide range of safety training programs for employees at all organizational levels
- Control and coordinate the maintenance and testing of safety protection systems across the plant
- Conduct routine workplace evaluations and inspections, providing advice on safety precautions and recommending corrective actions
- Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable local regulatory requirements and international safety standards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls
- Supervise the activities and performance of subordinates, including EHS representatives
- Perform other related duties and assignments as directed
Requirements
- Extensive experience in industrial safety management
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and international safety standards
- Experience in incident investigation and reporting
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills

Key Responsibilities
- Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative and procedural requirements while delivering quality and cost effective services.
- Supervises day to day Safety department operations to ensure activities are carried out in accordance with established policies, processes, and procedures.
- Oversees the effective implementation of incident investigation processes and conducts investigations and reporting of safety incidents, coordinating with relevant agencies where required, and provides recommendations based on investigation outcomes.
- Plans, organizes, and delivers a wide range of safety training programs for employees at all organizational levels to promote safety awareness and reduce the frequency and severity of incidents.
- Controls and coordinates the maintenance and testing of safety protection systems across the plant to ensure operational readiness.
- Conducts routine workplace evaluations and inspections, providing advice on safety precautions, identifying non conformities with local regulations and international standards, and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintains up to date knowledge of applicable local regulatory requirements and international safety standards.
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Supervises the activities and performance of subordinates, including EHS representatives, by providing guidance, training, performance feedback, and setting individual performance targets.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as directed.

- Manages and directs work in accordance with established practices and procedures, with responsibility for achieving assigned operational outputs.
