About the Role
Worley is seeking a Senior Structural Designer with extensive experience in offshore structures for oil and gas projects. The role involves preparing structural drawings and 3D models using software like AutoCAD, SP3D, E3D, and Microstation.

Responsibilities
- Prepare structural drawings and 3D models for offshore structures using AutoCAD, SP3D, E3D, and Microstation
- Develop loadout concepts including sea fastening, transportation drawings, and lifting sequences
- Ensure adherence to engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications
- Check drawings and models to maintain quality of deliverables
- Estimate structural steel quantities from drawings
- Participate in project reviews and provide on site support for construction, commissioning, or turnover
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of project experience in green field and brown field oil and gas related civil/structural design and engineering
- Minimum 3 years Diploma in Civil Structural discipline
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microstation, and 3D capability (SP3D/E3D)
- Experience with offshore structures like jackets, topsides, and miscellaneous works
- Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards
- Good English communication skills (spoken & written)

Major Accountabilities
- Person must have experience with both green field and brown field offshore structures like offshore jackets, topsides, and miscellaneous works.
- Person must have experience in loadout concepts like sea fastening, transportation drawings, and lifting sequence.
- Supports adherence to accepted engineering and design practices, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications.
- Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
Project Execution
- Knows the project and discipline scope/cost/time requirements and assists the team to meet expectations.
- Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline.
- Initiate, design and drafting assignments on projects requirements on time and within budget.
- Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and the client’s requirements.
Project Deliverables
- Gathers data from multiple sources and prepares analyses, calculations, etc.
- Assists with recommendations and helps create final documentation.
- Determines technical issues, defines alternate solutions, and makes recommendations.
- Creates final documentation incorporating all relevant information.
Perform Discipline Specific Design and Drafting Services
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes to scope comply with project change management processes.
- Participate in studies and analyses and recommend actions.
- Prepare engineering drawings and documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and documents are checked in accordance with Worley checking procedures.
- Participate in project reviews as required.
Site Support
- Seeks input from knowledgeable sources and participates in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews.
- Work with site personnel to resolve issues.
- Create plans or documents that support construction, testing, commissioning, operations, maintenance, or decommissioning.
- May provide on site support for construction, commissioning, or turn over.
Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required
- Personnel shall have specified minimum project experience in mainly Oil & Gas/refinery or petrochemicals.
- Preparation of drawings for steel structures using ACAD/SP3D/E3D and Microstation.
- Preparation of detail drawings for offshore structures.
- Preparation of site drawings.
- Interaction with other departments for clarifications.
- Maintaining records of drawings and other documents.
- Estimation of structural steel quantities.
- 3 D modelling of structures using E3D/SP3D.
- Extraction of drawings from 3 D model.
- Competent in the use of 2D & 3D software.
- Specialized knowledge in preparation of structural deliverables.
