Responsibilities

  • Champion the Project Safety culture, behaviors and engagement activities.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and resolving Piping Engineering issues.
  • Review and approve within specified approval durations the Contractor key deliverables and other works within the Mechanical (Piping) discipline.
  • Review and approve Contractor's deliverables including equipment design, system design, testing of materials, specifications, design calculations, designs, drawings, engineering studies, material requisitions, and material quantity estimates.
  • Review and approve key design documents from Vendors, equipment manufacturers or Subcontractors.
  • Attend technical meetings with Owner, Licensor, Contractor and Vendors.
  • Attend all Project technical sessions such as Design Review Meetings, 3D Model Review Meeting, Constructability, SIL, EIA, HAZOP and HAZID.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of EPC Contractor's Mechanical (Piping) Engineering design activities.
  • Supervise and manage review and approval of Contractor's work, ensuring compliance with Owner and Project specifications.
  • Coordinate required Engineering participation in development and analysis of design options and business models.
  • Provide technical assistance and coordination with other discipline Engineers.
  • Coordinate technical reviews and analysis during vendor prequalification, bid evaluation, and performance evaluation.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline or equivalent from an accredited university; or minimum 15 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position on mega Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • ADNOC & Offshore project experience required.
  • PMC experiences are preferable.
  • Experience in FEED & EPC Phases required.
