Job Summary
The role is a Performance Engineer for an Identity Security product.
The engineer will design and execute a comprehensive performance engineering strategy for SaaS-based IAM systems.
The position requires hands-on investigation of performance degradation and implementation of code-level and database-level fixes.
The role applies AI to transform performance data into actionable optimization strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and fix bottlenecks, memory leaks, CPU spikes, thread contention, database deadlocks, and query performance issues.
- Build AI-assisted diagnostic, automation, performance, and synthetic-data frameworks.
- Model high-concurrency OAuth2/OIDC, SAML, and MFA workloads and integrate performance-as-code tests into CI/CD.
- Use chaos engineering and observability dashboards to validate resiliency and monitor system behavior.
- Collaborate with development and SRE teams on distributed-system analysis and architectural optimization.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, a master's degree with 3 years of experience, or a PhD in a related field is required.
- At least 3 years of dedicated system performance optimization and development experience is required.
- Experience with at least one of C#/.NET, Java, or Python and willingness to work with C#/.NET is required.
- SQL query tuning, debugging, problem-solving, system design, software design patterns, and Agile squad experience are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-throughput SaaS architectures and IAM, authentication, or authorization platforms is preferred.
- AI or LLM workflow automation experience is preferred.
- K6, Gatling, or JMeter expertise is preferred.
- Chaos engineering, observability, and CI/CD pipeline experience is preferred.
