About the Role
ADNOC Group is seeking a Senior Specialist in Reservoir Engineering to participate in field development plans and reservoir studies, ensuring quality of static and dynamic models. The role involves reviewing studies, providing technical advice, and driving implementation of standards.

Responsibilities
- Participate and/or review field development plans, reservoir studies to ensure quality of static and dynamic models
- Monitor field development plan related studies to ensure technical quality, rigor and compliance with ADNOC standards
- Ensure ADNOC’s technical standards and best practices are followed in Group companies
- Drive implementation of ADNOC’s standards and guidelines in Group Companies
- Participate in testing and evaluation of commercial reservoir simulators and related software
- Provide hands on support for development and use of reservoir modeling and simulation
- Examine and review various reservoir study reports and recommend actions to improve field development plans
- Participate with Group Companies, stakeholders, consultants as ADNOC representative
- Advise on current and future reservoir modeling and reservoir management activities
- Maintain close interaction with other team members for integrated multi disciplinary approach
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or equivalent
- 10 years of experience in subsurface Reservoir Engineering issues with functional understanding of geology, geophysics, reservoir and fluid characterization
- Skilled in application of classical reservoir engineering analytical methods
- Functional knowledge of reservoir engineering software such as Eclipse, VIP; modeling tools such as Petrel and RMS; PVT software, and integrated production management tools (MBAL, Prosper etc.)
- Capable of performing basic simulation modeling, using advanced modeling techniques
- Confident presentation and communication skills
- Track record of being self motivated and takes initiative
- External publications including first Author publications in journals or conference proceedings; preferably peer reviewed

Job Purpose
- Participate and/or review field development plans, reservoir studies to ensure quality of the static and dynamic models used in optimization of field development plans are in line with expectation.
- Liaise with Group Companies to review and assess existing field development plans, studies, and dynamic models, and to provide technical advice on analytical work and reservoir modeling.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Monitor field development plan related studies to ensure technical quality, rigor and compliance with ADNOC standards and guidelines.
- Ensure that ADNOC’s technical standards and best practices are being followed in the Group companies as planned.
- Drive implementation of ADNOC’s standards and guidelines in the Group Companies to increase efficiency and value.
- Participate in the testing and evaluation of commercial reservoir simulators, related reservoir software, and analytical tools.
- Provide hands on support for development and use of reservoir modeling and simulation, and for reservoir studies and projects.
- Examine and review various reservoir study reports, and recommends actions and techniques to improve field development plans.
- Participate with Group Companies, stakeholders, consultants and service companies as the ADNOC representative.
- Advise on the current and future reservoir modeling and reservoir management activities.
- Maintain close interaction with other team members to ensure integrated, multi disciplinary approach.
- Participate in the development of standards for knowledge and competency.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Reservoir Engineering or equivalent.
- 10 years of experience, in subsurface Reservoir Engineering issues with functional understanding of geology, geophysics, reservoir and fluid characterization issues.
- Skilled in application of classical reservoir engineering analytical methods.
- Functional knowledge of reservoir engineering software such as Eclipse, VIP; modeling tools such as Petrel and RMS; PVT software, and integrated production management tools (MBAL, Prosper etc.) and able to coach others on use.
- Capable of performing basic simulation modeling, using advanced modeling techniques.
