Role Overview
EDGE is seeking an experienced and discreet Public Relations Officer to manage government relations within the defence and security sector.
The role coordinates approvals, permits, access authorisations, security clearances, and regulatory permissions with sensitive government entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the official liaison with the MOD, security agencies, municipalities, regulatory bodies, and other relevant authorities.
- Manage security clearances, site permits, personnel approvals, visitor access, asset registrations, and other permissions.
- Prepare, review, translate, and submit official documents in Arabic and English.
- Ensure submissions comply with UAE laws, defence regulations, national security protocols, and authority requirements.
- Monitor approvals, maintain status trackers, and follow up to prevent delays on high-priority projects.
- Coordinate government requirements with project, operations, security, legal, and administrative teams.
- Maintain confidentiality for classified documentation, sensitive communications, project information, and restricted-access details.
- Maintain professional relationships with government officials and defence and security stakeholders.
- Advise internal teams on procedures, regulatory obligations, security protocols, documentation, and approval timelines.
- Maintain records of submissions, approvals, renewals, clearances, correspondence, and related documents.
