The position focuses on efficient, reliable, and accessible data systems aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Spark, Kafka, and Airflow.
- Deploy pipelines across DataFlow, DataProc, Data Fusion, and Cloud Composer.
- Build distributed systems, data stores, data warehouses, data lakes, and NoSQL database solutions.
- Design dimensional data models and support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Configure Google Cloud services, automate repetitive tasks, and support deployment-related work.
- Improve data platforms through cloud-native solutions, serverless architectures, and modernized data lakes and warehouses.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a similar field.
- Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala, with SQL and NoSQL database experience.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL, data warehousing, and data integration.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- A Master's degree and data engineering cloud certification are pluses.
