About the Role
Checkout.com is looking for a proactive Benefits Expert to design, implement, and enhance benefits programs for the APAC and MENA regions. The role involves managing vendor relationships, driving strategic planning, and ensuring seamless benefits delivery.

Responsibilities
- Lead Benefits Administration: own and execute day to day operations of regional benefits programs in APAC and MENA, including enrollments, payroll integrations, compliance, and employee inquiries
- Manage Vendors and Systems: serve as primary point of contact for external benefits providers, negotiate contracts, oversee invoices, and manage benefits systems like AON
- Drive Strategic Planning and Benchmarking: research market trends, use data to analyze plan utilization, and recommend improvements
- Manage Renewals and Implementations: take full ownership of benefits renewals and new program implementations, including employee surveys and communications
- Solve Problems and Handle Escalations: act as go to expert for benefits issues, troubleshoot system errors, resolve complex employee escalations, and streamline processes
- Collaborate Cross Functionally: partner with Payroll, People Onboarding, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement to ensure smooth execution of benefits programs
- Take Full Ownership: work with high degree of autonomy ensuring both operational excellence and long term strategic enhancements
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing end to end benefits programs with deep understanding of benefits strategy, design, and administration in MENA and APAC Region
- In depth understanding of key health, welfare, and retirement benefits administration functions including vendor coordination, handling employee changes, processing qualifying life events and appeals, and managing annual enrollment
- Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate contracts, and oversee benefits systems and platforms
- Experience using data to analyze trends, benchmark against the market, and recommend strategic improvements
- Hands on, proactive approach to managing projects and solving problems autonomously; comfortable leading benefit renewals and new implementations with minimal guidance
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and ability to articulate complex benefits information with empathy
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to connect with employees and management
- Advanced Google sheet/Excel skills, ability to implement automations and streamline processes
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment
- Experience using Workday and/or an alternative benefits platform, including launching Open Enrollment, updating benefit plans, and running reports
